Largest gathering of women in uniform to become virtual series for 2020

When we first postponed the Symposium due to the COVID-19 public health emergency, we had every intention of being able to host our same event in September. However, the health and safety of our attendees remains our first priority. Based on the guidance from the state of Virginia and the armed services, it is not possible to have maximum participation at an in-person event in 2020.

Therefore, we have decided to move this year’s Symposium to a virtual series format in order to provide service women and men the premiere professional development content we planned this year to more individuals. We are still working with our event team and the services on specific details. We will continue to communicate through our social media platforms, assigned Service Liaisons and our website (www.sealeader.org/jwls).
